CURT AREND (PASTOR/ELDER)
Curt Arend has been a minister of the Gospel for 17 years. He planted Grace Bible Church San Diego 11 years ago and has continued to serve the Lord as its founding pastor. Prior to that, he served for five years as one of the pastors of Grace Bible Church in Escondido.
A slave of Christ for over 27 years, married to his beloved wife for nearly 21, and they have five children and two grandchildren. Curt is passionate about preaching the Gospel, pastoral theology, leadership training around the world, and everything Spurgeon.
He has studied at several institutions, including the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies (IRBS), Westminster Theological Seminary in CA, and the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD). He is currently pursuing ACBC certification.
Curt has a passion to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, to see Jesus Christ exalted in His church, and to see the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

Steve Robinson (PASTOR/ELDER)
Steven Robinson was converted to Christ around the age of 12 years old in New Orleans, Louisiana. While playing football, in high school and college, he was a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Athletes in Action. After graduating college, he became involved in the ministry of the church, where he had the opportunity to serve for many years as a youth leader, teacher, and an elder. Since embracing the Doctrines of Grace in 2009, he became convinced of Reformed Baptist Theology.
Steve’s ministry focus at Grace Bible Church-San Diego is assisting with leading corporate worship, preaching, teaching, and shepherding. He’s also, an alumnus of San Diego State University. He’s married to his lovely wife Sandra and they have two children: Jahmeel and Kayla.
Marlon Sales (Deacon)
Marlon Sales is in active service US military and happily married to Sonia for 22 years. They have been members of Grace Bible Church San Diego since 2013. It was 1980 when Marlon first heard the Gospel of grace through an American missionary from Campus Crusade for Christ while still in college in the Philippines. A year later, he was baptized and became a member of the Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in Manila.
Serving with US Navy, he has been stationed all over the world but has always been actively involved in local churches and various church ministries. Called by God to serve as a deacon, he feels privileged to support the elders of GBC-SD and help minister to the physical needs of the church.
Ashish Masih (Deacon)
Ashish Masih grew up in north India. He was raised in a Christian family and Sunday school was always a part of his childhood. He came to the U.S. as a graduate student in 1987. His educational background is in engineering and finance. Due to his job, Ashish and his family have moved extensively around the country. God was merciful in leading him and his family to strong Bible-teaching churches and Bible study groups, where his faith and understanding of the Word grew.
Ashish and his family have been in San Diego since 2009. He joined Grace Bible Church San Diego in 2013 and is grateful to be serving as a deacon. He and his wife Jyoti have been married for almost 25 years and have two children – Sid and Mahima.
Chris Wright (Deacon)
Chris Wright was born and raised in San Diego. The Lord graciously brought him to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in his early 20's.
Chris and his wife, Carly, along with their daughters, Eden and Alia, began attending Grace Bible Church in April 2014. He and his wife became members of the church shortly thereafter and are very thankful for the blessing of a church grounded strongly on the Word of God and prayer. He counts it a privilege to have the opportunity to serve as a deacon in this body of believers.
Massimo Cigoli (Intern)
Massimo Cigoli lives in sunny San Diego with his wife Christine and twin daughters, Naomi and Joya. He grew up in Milan, Italy, as a nominal Roman Catholic and it is only after he moved to the US that the Lord reached him with the glorious Gospel of His Son. After he was saved, he began a wonderful journey in the study of the Scriptures that lead him to Reformed Baptist convictions.
He is a student at Reformed Baptist Seminary (http://rbseminary.org) and is eager to see what the Lord has in store for him and his family. He has been a member of Grace Bible Church since 2014 and has been blessed through the church in many wonderful ways and enjoys serving the Lord here. Soli Deo Gloria!
