Curt Arend, Pastor / Elder
Curt Arend has served the Lord as founding pastor of Grace Bible Church San Diego since April 2006. Prior to that, he served for six years as one of the pastors of Grace Bible Church in Escondido.
Curt was converted to Christ in the late 1980’s and began sensing a call to Gospel ministry in 1994. Curt began devouring reformed literature and Puritan works. He also has studied at length systematic theology, pastoral theology and homiletics. He completed a three year internship program at Grace Bible Church, Escondido, as well as three years of Greek. He has studied at several institutions, including the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies (IRBS), Westminster Theological Seminary in CA, and the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD). He is currently pursuing NANC certification.
Curt has a passion to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, to see Jesus Christ exalted in His church, and to see the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
He is happily married to Jennifer, and they have 4 children, Cliff, Carissa, Caleb, and Calvin, as well as two grandchildren.
Deepu John, Pastor / Elder
Deepu was converted to Christ in India in middle-school in 1982. During his college years, he was involved in leadership at the Inter Collegiate Evangelical Union group in India. Since arriving in San Diego in 1994, he has been a member of Grace Bible Church Escondido where he was involved in leading the youth group for several years. Since the start of Grace Bible Church San Diego in early 2006, he has served in various roles including home Bible studies, leading worship and teaching. Deepu and his wife Simmi have been blessed with 3 boys.

Steven Robinson, Pastor / Elder
Steven Robinson was converted to Christ around the age of 12 years old in New Orleans, Louisiana. While playing football, in high school and college, he was a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Athletes in Action. After graduating college, he became involved in the ministry of the church, where he had the opportunity to serve for many years as a youth leader, teacher, and an Elder. Since embracing the Doctrines of Grace in 2009, he became convinced of Reformed Baptist Theology.
Steve’s ministry focus at Grace Bible Church-San Diego is assisting with leading corporate worship, preaching, teaching, and shepherding. He’s also, an alumnus of San Diego State University. He’s married to his lovely wife Sandra and they have two children: Jahmeel and Kayla.
